American actress, comedian, voice-over performer, and impressionist Dorthea Lauren Allegra Lapkus. She is most recognized for her roles as “Susan Fischer” in “Orange Is the New Black” on Netflix and “Jess” in “Crashing” on HBO.
Lauren Lapkus was born in Evanston, Illinois, in the United States on Friday, September 6, 1985 (age 34 as of 2019). Her sign is Virgo.
She graduated from Evanston Township High School in Illinois. The television sitcoms and programs Lauren grew up watching included “Saturday Night Live” and “In Living Color.” She began making sketches with her older brother when she was a little child. Lauren took part in the annual YAMO student talent and variety show while she was still in school.
Later, she studied improv at Chicago’s iO Theatre. DePaul University’s English department awarded Lauren a degree. Lauren relocated to New York City after receiving her degree and joined the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre there. She moved to Los Angeles after about a year.
